The Association aims to promote the work, life and family of Georges MOREAU DE TOURS and of his wife Thérèse de CHAMP RENAUD, MOREAU DE TOURS, as well as their circle of friends between Paris and Bois-le-Roi, and save and promote Bois-le-Roi’s tangible and intangible heritage.
The Association will organise lectures, seminars and visits planned around an exhibition in Bois-le-Roi and in Paris of the works of Georges MOREAU DE TOURS and Thérèse de CHAMP RENAUD MOREAU DE TOURS, and of the artists who lived in Bois-le-Roi.
A yearly Salon, La Nouvelle Bohème. Sous le signe des Muses, a meeting place of exchange, will be organized as part of the Saison des Affolantes to recreate the friendly and fraternal spirit of the 19th century Bohème, and to present the artists’ latest works in the magnificent surroundings of the Affolantes, the extravagant pleasure villas built along the Seine in the 19th century by the Parisian intelligentsia.
In order to promote the contemporary artists and crafstmen living in Bois-le-Roi and around, a page is dedicated to them on the association’s website, THE NEW BOHÈME, with videos of interviews posted on YouTube.
